What does Hawaiian music, flowery shirts, bbq chicken and standing on a rock all have in common? It means First Baptist Church of Italy is hosting a Luau for the local seniors of course. The first of several senior parties have begun. Italy High School graduates take time out of their busy schedule for some last minute fun.

First Baptist Church of Italy hosted the annual luau for the graduates of 2011 on Monday night. The menu included bbq chicken and sausage, homemade mac ’n cheese, beans, mashed potatoes, homemade desserts and last but not least, homemade-from-scratch rolls.

Michael Chambers welcomed the group and said, “We are a church that prays and we are praying for you. We will continue to pray for you as you go out into this world.”

After dinner, games were the main event as the seniors broke into groups and played Hawaiian bowling, standing on the rock and Limbo—how low can you go?
