The Italy School Board hired Sharon Davis as high school counselor at a called meeting Thursday afternoon.

Davis, counselor at Grand Prairie High School, lives in Midlothian and has three children.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Hardin-Simmons University and her graduate degree from Dallas Baptist University.

Davis, the daughter of missionaries, grew up in East Africa.
