Copeland’s awarded “Yard of the Month”
Once again, Billy and Mary Copeland have been awarded “The Yard of the Month.” Billy said he thinks this is the fourth time they have been honored with this award and are very proud of it.
When you drive up to their home the first thing you see is a big beautiful tree with gorgeous pots of flowers around it surrounded by beautiful green grass. An American flag standing proud in their yard.
This makes sense since Billy served his country in the Army in the Vietnam war. During his tour in Vietnam he was hit in his head and his shoulder with bomb shrapnel. When Billy returned home he received many medals along with the Purple heart.
When asked how he kept his yard so beautiful he explained, “I water it, put a little fertilizer on it, keep the grass cut and keep my hedges trimmed and try to add a few new plants and garden trinkets every now and then.”
Billy was born and raised in Italy and said, “I love Italy. The only time I was away from Italy was when I was in the military. I have been half way around the world and ain’t nothing like Italy”.
Congratulations on the “Yard of the Month”!
