The IYAA (Italy Youth Athletic Association) is currently accepting football/cheerleading sign-ups. Sign-ups are scheduled for the following days:

• Monday, July 11 — From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. @ Upchurch Ballpark concession stand
• Tuesday, July 12 — From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. @ Upchurch Ballpark concession stand
• Wednesday, July 13 — From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. @ Upchurch Ballpark concession stand
• Thursday, July 14 — From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. @ Upchurch Ballpark concession stand
• Friday, July 15 — From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. @ Upchurch Ballpark concession stand
• Saturday, July 16 — From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. @ old Italy gym FOOTBALL ONLY
• Saturday, July 16 — From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. @ Italy Council Chambers CHEERLEADERS ONLY

All players and cheerleaders must turn in a county issued birth certificate, a completed registration form and a registration fee.

The first day of practice will be Monday, August 1.

The football registration fee is $65.00. Football uniforms from last season must be turned in at time of sign-up if not already done so.

The cheerleading registration fee is $30.00 and will NOT be accepted after July 16th in order for uniforms to be ordered (Note special time and location for Cheerleader sign-ups on Saturday, July 16th). Uniforms are $100.00 which must be paid by the date of the uniform fitting. Final cheerleader sign-ups AND uniform fittings will be this Saturday, July 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. inside the City of Italy Council Chambers. No sign-ups will be accepted after that date.

Eligible players are 2011-2012 school year kindergarten (age 5) to 6th graders. All fees and documents must be submitted at the time of sign-up.

Forms are available and should be turned in at the Varner Fina Station in Italy, at the concession stand at the Upchurch Ballpark during baseball/softball games and during any scheduled sign-up.

Over the past three seasons, all three divisions, Major (5th & 6th), Minor (3rd & 4th) and Bantam (K-2nd) have accumulated 10 playoff wins, 5 division championships, 5 conference championships and won 3 out of 4 Superbowl Championships. The IYAA cheerleaders rocked the stadiums with dazzling halftime performances and performed electrifying cheers along the sidelines to keep the players energized every yard of the way.
