Former Italy student injured in Afghanistan
First Lieutenant Andrew Freeman, a former Italy student, went in harm’s way for his country and was injured last week in Afghanistan. The following info is from his dad, Ray Freeman:
On Thursday 2 suicide bombers detonated their explosives in a building that Andrew’s platoon was attempting to clear. The building collapsed and injured several soldiers, including Andrew. 2 were injured severely enough to be evacuated to Germany, but Andrew remained at the field hospital at his base. He has a collapsed lung, injured shoulder and knee, and other less serious injuries. He told his dad he will be OK and for everyone to pray for his men. “He wants more than anything to be able to bring all his men home safely”.
Please keep Andrew and his family in your thoughts and prayers along with all of our servicemen and women.

If you’d like to send him a card or note, maybe even a “care package” I’m sure he’d appreciate it.
