GRANT TEAFF FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES GOLF TOURNAMENT
FCA to host 12th annual event

Waco, Texas  —  September 19, 2011 – The Heart of Texas Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be hosting its 12th annual Grant Teaff Golf Tournament on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Ridgewood Country Club. A full field of 100 golfers will participate in helping to raise funds to fuel the FCA’sministry to “coaches, athletes, and all whom they influence” in the Heart of Texas area.

Coach Grant Teaff started this tournament with the hope of bringing a full time FCA staff presence to the Heart of Texas area. An area he calls home and experience great coaching success at Baylor University. With the success of this tournament, his hope has become a reality as now 5 staff and countless volunteers serve nearly 200 middle school, high school and college campuses in a 12 county area.

Once again, Coach Teaff will be front and center to welcome and thank tournament players and
sponsors. The tournament is scheduled for a shotgun start at 12:45 p.m. and will be preceded by a lunch served at 11:30 a.m.

New this year, the Burton Lawless College Scholarship will be presented to one male and female recipient during the lunch presentation. Burton is a faithful Leadership Board member for our area and a Super Bowl champion from the Dallas Cowboys. The award is based on the recipient’s involvement in FCA, leadership, and recommendation.
