Javier and Blanca Figueroa received Yard of the Month from the City of Milford. Now this is not just an ordinary yard and house-the house is a Monolithic Dome.

The forty-five foot diameter by sixteen foot high dome is surrounded with beautiful flowers such as poppies, roses and marigolds. Statues, flags and birdhouses are gracefully sitting throughout the yard.

When asked how long she had been working on her yard Blanca responded, “I have been working on the yard for about a year. It takes that long for some of the flowers to come to full bloom and growth.”

Nestled up close to the door you can spot some ceramic swans and angels. On each side of the door a moon and sun are hung to add a bit of laughter and fun to the house and yard.

“I feel really good that we have been chosen as Milford’s Yard of the Month. We worked hard and it has paid off. We are very honored”, explained Blanca when asked how she felt about being selected as Yard of the Month.
