Stafford 2nd graders bring Christmas Cheer
On Thursday, Trinity Mission was filled with some of the cutest little second graders you have ever seen. They were all decked out in Christmas attire and big smiles.
All kinds of Christmas songs were being sung such as: Up on the Rooftop, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Feliz Navidad, Rocking Around the Christmas Tree and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
Carolyn Powell (activities director) said, "Stafford Elementary 2nd grade students are here singing Christmas songs for our residents. You see a sparkle in the kid’s eyes and also a sparkle in the resident’s eyes. We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we are having a fun time at Trinity Mission this morning with all the Christmas Cheer the students are bringing. It just lifts everyone’s spirits.
When the students were finished singing they went around to each resident and shook hands, or gave big hugs and it just made the residents very happy. You could feel the spirit of Christmas is the air.
As the students were leaving Trinity Mission they were each given a Christmas cookie filled with love.
Another great day at Trinity Mission. Merry Christmas!
