Letter to the Editor: Thank you

My mother, Beverly Carter is a resident of Trinity Mission in Italy, Texas. While we were putting away the Christmas decorations in her room, I noticed there were more decorations to put away than I remembered putting out earlier in December.

Trinity Mission is busy during the Christmas Season. Churches and schools from all over Ellis County stopped by to visit the residents. There were Christmas ornaments and cards decorated with paint and glitter, ornaments made of dough, jars and bags of candy, and a small bag of toiletries. Mom also mentioned there were several groups of Christmas Carolers that stopped by her room for a visit. The homemade ornaments and cards were extra special. All the cards and ornaments were on display in her room.

I just want to say thank you to all the choir members, Sunday School teachers, school teachers and children that made Christmas special for my mom. And thank you to the Methodist pastor that offered communion.

The world is moving so fast and we are all so busy. Thank you to anyone that gave a gift of their time in any way. I can assure you my mom and I appreciate your effort. It takes less than a minute to say hello and make more than a difference in someone’s day. Thank you again,

Renee Finley
