Dianne Jaynes Fundraiser—a success
It was very, very cold the night of Dianne Jaynes fundraiser. But the citizens of the small community of Italy, Texas was not going to let a little bad weather bother them and as usual came out in full to support one of their own, Dianne Jaynes and her family.
Dianne Jaynes has liver cancer and is fighting diligently but because of the extreme medical expenses, Amanda Smithwick Itson (Dianne’s cousin) decided to put together a fundraiser to help out this family. And boy, did she do a great job.
There were several bands, Justin Guthrie Band, Moonshine, David Harness with Jason Herrin and DJ Too Cool. They all performed their best despite the inclement weather. Just another show of support given to the Jaynes family.
There was quite a line at the bounce house and slide. Kids were lining up with smiling faces waiting with anticipation to be the first to slide down the slide and bounce the house down.
Everyone came out to buy their BBQ dinner catered by Starbucks, Domino’s, HEB, Hobb’s Feed Store, Bebe’s BBQ and Chicken Express. The line was long but the wait was worth it. And that coffee and hot cocoa sure helped to warm cold hands.
There was a raffle and an auction and lots great prizes were very generously donated.
