The Commissioner of Education, Robert Scott, announced that is he deferring implementation of the new 15 percent grading requirement connected to the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness End-Of-Course examinations. In the press release, he leaves it up to each district to decide whether or not they are deferring this requirement.

Italy ISD administration has decided to defer the implementation of the rule. We will inform the students, parents and the community of any changes to the new testing system as they occur.
