Italy High School Senior, Brandon Souder, has a head full of hair, thick and curly and reminiscent of Harpo, a member of the comedy team, The Marx Brothers or Epstein, a character from the 70’s show, “Welcome Back, Kotter.” Well, that’s not a bad thing because Brandon is willing to go out on a limb and take one for the team.

On March 23, the Gladiator Baseball team will host a hairy fundraiser. Tickets are $1 each or 3 for $2 and the winning ticket will be the barber. Brandon will allow the winner to cut his hair. Kristi Souder, Brandon’s mom, said with a smile, “Within reason, it can be cut with a #3 so I can take him to a real barber the next day and get it fixed.”

Every year, Brandon plays varsity basketball and does not cut his hair for good luck. This year the team finished as co-district champions and bi-district finalists and now Souder is ready to get his hair cut.

If you interested in being a member of the barbershop, please see Kristi Souder or any baseball team member. All proceeds will benefit the Gladiator Baseball team.
