The second district game for the Italy High School Gladiators came and went Friday night. Italy had clear intentions they would travel to de-stripe the Grandview Zebras but the herd just wouldn’t stand for it.

Senior Justin Buchanan pitched against Grandview High School on Monday night. His pitching was up to par and only allowed 2 runs in 5 innings. The Gladiators were on top with a 5-2 lead. However, the momentum changed and the Zebras rallied at the top of the 6th inning. Grandview switched pitchers to help hang on to the lead and brought in the six runs to win that won the game. With an obvious change in the outcome of the game, Italy made several errors and overthrows in the remaining inning and the Gladiators were finished for the night. The final score was Grandview 9, Italy 5.
