Italy High School Theatre department competes in One-Act-Play UIL competition

The cast of Kamikaze Kate from Italy High School went to the Zone One-Act-Play competition in Cleburne, Texas on March 21, 2012. Italy competed against Whitney, Axtell, and Clifton and placed Alternate, with many awards for the cast and crew.

Tia Russell (freshman) got Best Actress, while Hayden Woods (junior) and Gus Allen (junior) recieved All Star Cast, Monserrat Figueroa (sophomore), the lighting technician, received a “Techy Award” for her hard work in the tech room.

“I could not have been happier with the kids’ performances at competition. They are very excited about next year, and so am I!” Mrs. Windham added.
