On April 7, 2012 at around 12:20 pm, William Michael Trussell (63 yoa) of Frost, Texas, turned himself into Hill County authorities on a Sexual Assault of a Child Arrest Warrant. He was booked into the Hill County Jail and arraigned by Hill County Justice of the Peace Charles Jones on a $2500.00 bond. He immediately posted bond and was released.

The arrest warrant stemmed from a multi-agency investigation including the Italy Police Department, Ellis County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers Division.

Trussell, who had previously worked as a band director for Italy High School, faces sexual assault of a child charges due to a complaint made to the Italy Police Department by a former student of Italy High School. The case will be turned over to the Ellis County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
