Italy Police Department to participate in the 2012 Click it or Ticket Campaign

Between May 21 and June 3, including Memorial Day weekend, law enforcement throughout Texas will be working overtime to issue tickets to drivers and passengers who aren’t buckled up. Drivers with children who aren’t properly secured will get a citation, too.

Buckle Up or Pay Up

A seat belt ticket can cost anywhere from $25 to $250 plus court costs. Aside from saving money, wearing a seat belt reduces the risk of fatal injury by up to 60 percent.
