Two Arrested for Deadly Conduct After Shooting Incident on Hardeman Street

On 6/2/2012 at around 23:31 hours, the Italy Police Department along with Milford Police Department, Ellis County Sherriff’s Office and Maypearl Police Department, responded to a reported shooting at the 600 block of Hardeman Street. No one was reported to be injured in the shooting.

At around 22:31 hrs, officers had earlier responded to numerous noise complaints for a large party in that area. Officers told the residents to turn the music down and left the area.

Officers were later dispatched to a shooting in the same area as the original loud music call. Officers on another loud music call could hear numerous gunshots from across the town and immediately responded.

Arriving officers found several people leaving the area in various vehicles and witnesses gave the officers the description of the suspect vehicle, a gold older model Buick. Witnesses at the scene also identified the shooters as Roldan Kelley, 17 yoa, and Demarcus Waters, 20 yoa. Both suspects are from Waxahachie.

Milford police located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at Harris St and HWY 77 along with Italy PD officers. Both Waters and Roldan were arrested for Deadly Conduct and were taken to the Ellis County jail and are awaiting arraignment.
