What’s New In Milford

“A City of about 700 nice friendly people (and 3 or 4 old grouches).”

With a recent effort to upgrade building facades, Main Street in Milford is beginning to hustle and bustle like never before. As always, the city park serves as a central meeting place to host town and school events while newly renovated downtown businesses give cause for passerby’s to stop in and visit for a spell.

Guests soon realize Milford’s town spirit is strong, as well, with the community openly embracing and supporting its pride and joy, the Milford ISD Bulldogs!

Building Permits:

Building permits are required for all fences and outbuildings. Any such structure
not requiring inspection for plumbing or electrical will be inspected as to setback,
size and materials. Permits are $5.00. Maximum size for garages or carports is
500 square feet with one per lot. Maximum size for storage buildings, shops, etc.
is 200 square feet with one per lot. Maximum size for gazebos, pool houses, etc.
is 200 square feet with one per lot. All fences must be constructed of new materials,
consisting of wood, chain link, field wire or like materials. Barbed wire is prohibited.
Maximum fence height is 6 feet, 4 feet across front of house. No fences over 4 feet
within 30 feet of any intersection of street and/or publicly-traveled areas. A sketch
is required prior to issuing permit showing location of improvement.

Garage Sale Permits:

Garage sale permits are available at City Hall $5.00 for a 2-day sale.
You may have two sales a calendar year.
