Milford serves lunches and smiles

The Milford Senior Citizens Center has been serving meals for as long as the residents can remember. And to this day they are still holding up their tradition of approximately 30 years of serving delicious hot lunches for seniors, friends and family.

2014 local elections’ polling schedules

On Saturday, May 10, 2014 Italy will have the elections for school board seats as well as city council seats. Milford will have a city council election as well as mayoral election. Early voting will begin on Monday, April 28. For our readers convenience we have compiled a list of locations, dates and times for early voting as well as election day voting.

I don’t know a child that is not excited about Christmas and all that goes with it.They can’t wait to get up Christmas morning and see what Santa has left under the tree. But not all children are lucky enough to have something waiting for them under the tree. The Milford Titus Women’s Club are trying to make sure that every child in Milford will wake up Christmas morning and find a present.

The Rockett Ranch Café and Club in Milford held its first annual barbeque cook off last Saturday, Oct. 5. The turnout was less than expected. Speculation suggested the rain prediction could have been the reason or the 60% payout for prize money. It was decided next year would deliver an 80% payout and pray for better weather.

Another successful National Night Out in Milford

Every where you looked you saw so many Milford citizens having fun at Milford’s National Night Out Tuesday evening. Smiling, laughing children, lots of adults enjoying the night out with friends and family supporting the Milford Police Department.

Annual Milford Arts & Craft Fair planned

It is that time again! Time for the Annual Milford Arts & Craft Fair on Saturday, October 12, 2013. This year the Fair will be held at the Rocket Ranch Café & Music Hall. Located at 900 W. National Night Out in Milford

Downtown Milford was filled with action on Tuesday night about 6:00 pm. There was music, food galore, snow cones, cupcakes, a bounce house, a dunking booth, sand art and more. Nearly 300 Milford folks came out to have a good time at Milford’s National Night Out.

In response to Milford Water Bill

Council voted to raise the water bill tonight by 6 dollars on sewage. Also raised the rates on above minimum usage, or per gallon rates up to 6/1000g for water, and 5/1000g for sewer. Increase of 2 on water to 4000, then 1 dollar/1000; and 3 on sewer/1000.

Water bills to increase $25.00

The Milford city council will meet in a called meeting on Tues Sept 8, 2009 to vote to increase residential water bills by $25.00 per meter in order to collect money towards paying back to the State of Texas over $300,000 it collected from traffic citations issued on I-35 over several years.
