Every Reader is a Star at the Stafford Elementary Book Fair
Stafford Elementary Library will host its annual Scholastic Book Fair the week of October 15-19. The fair will be open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Friday from 8-10 a.m. in the library.
The fair will offer the most popular books and educational products for all ages, including the newest titles, award-winners, classics, and interactive products from more than 150 publishers.
Students will have the opportunity to purchase books and other exciting learning products at this year’s book fair—Every Reader is a Star!
A special Family Night is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16, from 6-7:30 p.m. so that parents and grandparents can join their students for a fun-filled night at the book fair.
This year’s Family Night will feature a fun event for all students…a Book Walk similar to an old-fashioned cakewalk where students have the opportunity to win free books.
Parents and grandparents are welcome to visit and shop at the book fair at anytime. This year they are invited to a very special event called Breakfast with Dads and Granddads on Wednesday, October 17. After breakfast, students may bring their special guests to the book fair before returning to class.
One of the fair’s primary goals is to help teachers build classroom libraries. Visitors to the fair can check each teacher’s classroom wish list, then purchase and donate a requested book, helping teachers develop an array of learning resources.
Citizens National Bank of Texas is again underwriting the sales tax for fair purchases for our students again this year. We welcome them as our community sponsor, so please thank them for their support. Credit cards are also accepted.
The Book Fair helps Stafford Elementary promote reading and learning while raising funds for additional library purchases.
