Italy Ministerial Alliance hosts community feast
The holidays have arrived in Italy. The kick off was a community wide Thanksgiving feast held at the Italy High School dome. The whole city was invited to participate in a non-denominational church service, BBQ and all the fixins, activities for the children and fellowship.
The Hillsboro chapter of Christian Motorcyclists Association hosted last year’s celebration and the Italy Ministerial Alliance invited the group back to help with hosting the luncheon again.
This Association blends perfectly with IMA. “We are here because we love motorcycles and Jesus. The camaraderie of motorcyclists shakes off the social status and leaves way for friendships to develop around our common interest. We not only share a common bond of bikes and friends, but each of us has experienced the forgiveness for all the wrongs which harden hearts. We’ve been given a chance to start to live over with the help of a greater friend,” their website explains. This association has a main office in Hatfield, Arkansas but have many international chapters as well. Thirty-eight are in North Texas alone. See their website for more details.
The Italy Ministerial Alliance helps the local community with several activities throughout the year, including the Food Pantry, food backpacks for elementary children, Sunrise Service at Easter, IHS Baccalaureate, Toys For Tots and the local Christmas tree lighting and festivities. All churches and all faiths are invited to participate in the events held year round. You are welcome to participate in any of the activities with your donations or your time, just call Central Baptist Church at 972-483-7474 to see how.
