Saturday, December 15th was the big day to decide the winners for the Victron Italy Lighting Contest. The judges really had their work cut out for them. So many beautiful Christmas scenes all around our quaint little town. It had to be very hard to decide the winners.

Hard as it was, the judges made their decisions and the winners are:

1st Place – Conrad and Gayle Kinsey – Located on Ward Street

2nd Place – Shelby Middlebrooks – Located on Waco Street

3rd Place – Dwayne and Barbara Chambers – Located on Ward Street

Business – Magic Mirror – Located on Main Street

Conrad & Gayle Kinsey were very excited they won first place, Gayle said, “We do it for our grandchildren and other kids around our neighborhood. It makes us feel good when people drive by and look at all the decorations.”

Gayle made several of the decorations by hand such as the snow monster, the King Lion, Charlie in the box and Dolly. She even made a movie screen with a sheet and ribbons where the movie Rudolph is constantly playing. Gayle said, “It is not Christmas without Rudolph.”

Everyone out did themselves this year with the Christmas lights and decorations. Our town is brimming with the Christmas Spirit.
