Stafford first and second graders bring Christmas cheer
What could be better than being serenaded with Christmas songs sung by the cutest little first and second graders while you eat your afternoon meal? Nothing I can think of could be better.
On Wednesday afternoon the residents of Trinity Mission were the lucky recipients of such a treat. Stafford Elementary first and second graders sang beautiful Christmas songs to bring a little Christmas cheer. The residents had smiles on their faces and Christmas cheer in their hearts after listening to the students sweet voices.
Some students were dressed up as Santas and some were sporting reindeer antlers! This just helped them get more in the spirit while they sang their renditions of Must be Santa Claus, Santa Claus is coming to Town, Feliz Navidad, Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Rocking Around the Christmas Tree and many more.
When it was time for the students to leave, Trinity Mission staff members were on hand with cookies and candy canes! And boy oh boy did you see the students smile then. Nothing better than cookies and candy canes.
“Caroling, Caroling along, Christmas is coming to Trinity Mission. Everyone is ready for Christmas. Our Angel Tree is loaded with gifts for the residents,” said Carolyn Powell (activities director).
Another day celebrating life at Trinity Mission.
