Myla Wilson leaving Italy ISD
Myla Wilson has been the principal for Stafford Elementary for a very short time. And in that short time she has had a big impact on our school. We now have a student council and a choir to name just a few of the positive programs she instituted. Her last day is this Friday. She has been offered a wonderful job opportunity with DeSoto ISD.
Her new position is with the Desoto ISD as the District Title One supervisor. She will be over seven campuses and will also be over the ESL program (English as a second language) for the whole district. The district has seven elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school and one freshman campus.
Myla explained, “This is a very good opportunity for me to grow professionally. I have ten years experience in campus administration. This is a perfect opportunity for me to move into central administration. My ultimate goal is to work in Washington DC in the department of education. This will help me start moving in this direction. It is a blessing. You never know when God will step in and start moving in your life.”
Wilson said she was very grateful for the staff, parents and community that supported her at Italy ISD. She said, “I am very grateful to the school board and Mr Bassett for supporting me in this career decision.”
She went on to say, “I will really miss the kids. They are great kids, loving, smart and funny.”
You will be missed Myla Wilson!, Congratulations on your new job opportunity!
