In celebration of St. Patricks Day the student council had to come up with something fun for the kids at Stafford Elementary. And they did, they decided to have a contest to see which class could wear the most green!

LaJada Jackson (Student Council president) said, “We wanted to do something fun for St. Patricks Day. So we talked about what we could do and Tanner Chambers and Carson Holley came up with ‘Green Out Day.’ We hung up posters in the cafeteria and the hallways asking everyone to wear green.”

The object of ‘Green Out Day’ was for everyone to wear green and which ever class wore the most green won a popcorn and movie party. “Mrs. Medrano’s fifth grade class won. All together the class had worn 98 pieces of green. The kids had a lot of fun and some even wore green sunglasses,” explained Jackson.

Once again another day of learning and fun at Stafford Elementary. Congratulations Mrs. Medrano’s class!
