Italy Coliseum — The honors just keep coming as Principal Lee Joffre announces one award recipient after another during the 2013 Italy Junior High Awards Ceremony.

Top honors went to Sarah Levy who had the highest GPA among 8th graders and Emily Cunningham who had the highest GPA among 7th graders. Noeli Garcia, also a 7th grader, received a plaque for perfect attendance while Vanessa Cantu and Eli Berkley received plaques for not having any tardies,

Levy was the one student to maintain all A’s for the entire school year among 8th graders while three 7th grade students achieved all A’s for the year which includes Kirby Nelson, Emmy Cunningham and Jenna Holden, with each receiving plaques.

The 2011-2012 Oliphant Cup Trophy recipient, Britney Chambers, presented the Oliphant Cup Trophy to the 2012-2013 recipient, Vanessa Cantu, for representing the Italy Junior High school in a positive manner.

Vivian Moreland was recognized as the 8th grade Favorite Teacher of the Year and Lindsey Thomas was recognized as the 7th grade Favorite Teacher of the Year with both receiving certificates and bouquets.
