Gold Performance Award program introduced by IHS principal

In order to reward students for College & Career Readiness, attendance and positive behavior, Italy High School Principal, Lee Joffre, has announced the new Gold Performance Award system for IHS seniors.

Requirement Guidelines

Gold Performance Award requirements for Seniors (Class of 2014 only)
  • Achieve and maintain a 95% Attendance Rate
  • Attendance will be measured each six week period
  • Must have acquired 18 or more required credits toward graduation
  • Award will begin after first six weeks
  • Maintain a discipline report with zero DAEP placements and no more than two ISS placements in the school year
  • Pass all Exit Level TAKS Tests
  • Must take an SAT or ACT Test
Gold Performance Award requirements for Seniors (beginning with Class of 2015)
  • Junior year attendance rate of 95% or higher and maintained during the senior year
  • Attendance will be measured each six week period
  • Must have acquired 18 or more required credits toward graduation
  • Award will begin at the beginning of the senior year
  • Maintain a discipline report with zero DAEP placements and no more than two ISS placements beginning in the junior year and continuing thru the senior year
  • Pass all state exams – If the state adds exams they will be included
  • Must take SAT or ACT test during the junior year of high school

Rewards

Gold Performance Award for Seniors
  • Free On Campus Parking Pass – Insurance and Driver’s License required – Class of 2014 will be reimbursed after meeting requirements
  • Recognition Cord for graduation
  • Pass for all home games
  • Three tardy passes
  • Name in a drawing for special give-away at the end of the year
  • Off-campus Lunch
    • Qualifying students will be required to have a parent signed permission form on file in the principal’s office in order to participate in off-campus privileges
