Oncor, Johnny-on-the-spot!
If you were in front of the TV or blowdrying your hair this morning around 9:30, you might have been interrupted. Most of the city of Italy lost power for an hour and a half or so.
Surprising but true. It seems that a construction crew was working on the corner of Poplar and Simms Streets when the dump truck delivering sand did not calculate the height of the of the truck with how low the electric lines hung. The dump truck lowered the dump bed and the cab protector pulled the wires down.
With a delivery of sand came no power until Oncor arrived and had the problem corrected within 30 minutes or so. Thank you, Oncor!
