Italy Firefighters vs. Italy’s Firepower in annual Guns vs. Hoses softball event
The 2nd annual Guns vs. Hoses softball game will be Saturday, July 6th, at the Italy ISD softball field benefiting the Italy Police Department’s Shop with a Cop Program. A Homerun Derby begins at 6:00 p.m., the game starts at 7:00 p.m. and a fireworks show will follow the game.
We hope to see everyone at the 2nd annual Guns vs. Hoses softball game between the Italy Fire Department and the Italy Police Department on Saturday, July 6, at the Italy High School softball field with all proceeds going to benefit Italy P.D.’s Shop with a Cop program.
The pre-game will feature a Homerun Derby with the victor receiving a prize. The rematch will be followed by a post-game fireworks show immediately afterwards.

- Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
- Signup for the Homerun Derby at 6:00 p.m.
- Home Run Derby starts at 6:30 p.m.
- Guns vs. Hoses softball game starts at 7:00 p.m.
- Fireworks begin at dark
Homerun Derby Participation:
- $10.00 for 10 pitches
- Must be 16 year of age or older to enter
- Pre-signup at the Italy Police Department
- Signup at event begins at 6:00 p.m.
- Most homeruns wins a prize!
- In case of a tie, 5 extra pitches will decide the winner
