Coming from a family of teachers, it is no wonder that Brandon Ganske decided to become a teacher too. His dad retired after 33 years of teaching physical education, his brother has also been teaching physical education for several years. So following in their footsteps, Brandon went straight from college right into the world of teaching as a physical education teacher and has joined the team of teachers at Stafford Elementary teaching physical education.

Ganske always wanted to be a teacher but his “Ah Ha” moment was when he was in the fourth grade and they had a career day. He came to school all dressed up in his Dad’s P.E. clothes and described what his Dad did and it was at that moment he knew being a physical education teacher was for him.

Ganske graduated from Concordia University in Texas in 2008 with a teaching degree in physical education.

Coaching football as the defensive co ordinator, coaching basketball and assisting coaching for the high school boys in baseball along with teaching P.E. to the Stafford students will keep Mr. Ganske very happy and very busy.

Ganske taught at Iola ISD for five years before he came to Stafford Elementary.

When asked what his objective was for his students this year Ganske replied, “I want them to have fun while learning basic motor skills and life skills such as how to communicate with others.”

On his free time you will find him working on classic cars. You might say it is his second passion, teaching being his first.

“Everyone here at Stafford is so nice and I know I haven’t been here long but I can already tell that the community backs the students and the teaching staff. I am proud that I am going to be a part of it”, explained the new P.E. teacher when asked his thoughts on Stafford Elementary.

He went on to say, “I am ready to start the school year. I am so anxious to meet all the students and teach them what I know best.”
