Full house at Stafford Elementary for Meet the Teacher Night
The long summer is over, the new school year is starting and as always was kicked off with students meeting their teachers. The ‘house,’ so to speak, was packed with excited students, parents and teachers Friday night for Meet the Teacher Night at Stafford Elementary.
Stafford Elementary has seven new teachers this year, Davee Garcia (4th grade), Sue Mendoza (special education), Christie Hyles (2nd grade), Melinda Haake (3rd grade), Brandon Ganske (physical education) Maggie Westrick (5th/6th grade science) and Angela Chambers (CBI). They are ready for the new school year to begin.
Angie Janek was busy greeting all her new students and very excited about teaching fifth grade this year. She said, “I will know a lot of the students already from teaching P.E. last year and I am really excited about teaching my son Reese who will be in my class this year.”
There were many students starting school for the first time. Mason Posey was very excited and happy to have Mrs. Aquado for his teacher for his Pre-K class.
Mr. Nash was busy greeting the students and their parents. He said, “I am very exited about the large turn out we had tonight. We are all ready for the new year to begin. We will focus on building trust and accenting the positive and when mistakes are made we will redirect the energy. It is going to be a great year.”
Everyone is looking forward to another great year at Stafford Elementary.
