Italy High School hosted Meet The Teacher Night for students
Parents and students were in full force as droves of excited new Gladiators, especially 7th graders over from Stafford Elementary, enjoyed a first hand look at their new classrooms and teachers during Meet The Teacher Night at Italy High School. For veteran students, it was just another day at the office as families went from class to class during a mock school day.
After a brief presentation by teachers, the period ending bell would ring signaling everyone to shift classes. The teachers set their expectations to each class of guests and then passed out paperwork outlining what each student should expect. Between bells, everyone flowed according to their class schedules to help parents better understand what will be each child’s daily routine.
“Having families follow the bell schedule was a great way to help parents understand just how much time is allotted for students to navigate the hallways without being tardy to their next class,” explained Principal Lee Joffre.
The Italy ISD staff thanks everyone who attended and appreciates all the parents for being involved during Meet The Teacher Night and wishes all the students good luck in 2013-2014!
