Stafford Elementary was overflowing with Grandparents
Grandparents, grandparents, everywhere! Grandparents in Italy really take Grandparents Day to heart. Stafford Elementary was overflowing with smiling grandparents and excited students sharing lunch on this special day.
Every year Stafford Elementary invites their student’s grandparents to come to school and share lunch with their grandchildren. And this year was no exception. There were so many excited kids loving having their grandparents at their school sharing lunch with them. Not only were the kids excited but the grandparents were too!
Mona Paiano (great grandmother) and Zina Guthrie (grandmother) were happy to be there and said, “It is so nice to be here to have lunch with the grandkids. We like to be able to participate on this special day.”
Sally Parker shared lunch with her granddaughter Olivia Ramirez (kindergartner) and said, “I love being here for Grandparents Day. This is my last grandchild to share Grandparents Day with. I have been at Grandparents Day at Stafford Elementary through five grandchildren!”
Ida Overton shared this day with her granddaughter Jordan Flemming and said, “Grandparents Day is always wonderful at Stafford Elementary. It is a tradition that has been carried down through the years and every year it is wonderful.”
Mae Shelby (great-grandmother), Barbara Green (grandmother), and Tina Long (grandmother) shared lunch with their grandson Cason. Tina said, “This is my first time to celebrate Grandparents Day at school with Cason. Cason is MiMi’s pride and joy.”
Cheryl Owens celebrated Grandparents Day with her granddaughter Landry Janek (1st grader). She said, “By inviting grandparents to have lunch with our grandchildren it makes us feel very welcome to come to school.”
Another great Grandparents Day celebration at Stafford Elementary!
