New kid on the block at Milford ISD, Carole Cooper
Carole Cooper has joined the teaching staff at Milford ISD. She is their new Physical Education teacher. She always wanted to do something that would help people, it was between being an EMT or a teacher and lucky for Milford ISD she chose teaching.
Cooper grew up in Corinth, Texas and said, “Corinth is similar to Milford as it is a small town, you know everyone. There is one school grades kindergarten thru 12th grade. The difference is Corinth is by Lake Lewisville and there is a little more to do there being by the lake.”
She graduated high school from Lake Dallas High School and while attending there she was awarded ‘Most Valuable Player’ her sophomore year in Tennis.
Stephen F. Austin is where she graduated college from in 2012. While she was there she earned several awards such as: Council for Advancement and Support of Education Award, President’s Volunteer Service Award, Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges just to name a few.
Cooper will be teaching Physical Education for Milford High School, teaching High School Athletics, Junior High Athletics as well as serving as assistant coach for Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Tennis. “I am very exited, I will be very busy and I like that.”
When asked why she chose Physical Education to teach Cooper replied, “I really like the fact that I will be teaching the students how to be healthy for life, how to improve their well being and let the kids know that there are other things you can do other than just the typical sports.”
She went on to say, “I love living in Milford and teaching at Milford ISD. I love all the teachers, staff and students. It is going to be a good year.”
Welcome, Carole Cooper!
