Stafford Elementary Student Council election results
Last week Stafford Elementary held their Student Council elections. This is the second year that Stafford Elementary has had a student council. Everyone was very happy to vote and have their voices heard.
Stafford students voted into the student council: Ryan Dabney (6th grade) as treasurer, Tanner Chambers (6th grade) as president, Anthony Chambers (5th grade) as historian, Madison Dickerson (5th grade) as secretary, Hannah Carr (6th grade) as vice president, Darin Jackson (4th grade) as a representative, Easton Viator (3rd grader) as a representative, Morgan Chambers (3rd grader) as a representative and Emily Janek (4th grader) as a representative.
When asked why he wanted to be on student council, Tanner Chambers said, “To make our school a better environment and to incorporate a little bit of fun into the daily grind.”
Some of the projects they have planned this year are: working at a food bank where they prepare snacks, making valentines and handing them out to the residents of Trinity Mission, they will have a Christmas float in the Christmas parade and doing more community service to get more involved in the community.
Jeanette Janek is very excited about the student council this year. She explained, “This is the second year to have student council at Stafford. This year was a lot easier because last year it was all so new. We have a great student council. They are working very hard to make the school better. They are busy planning many projects. I am looking forward to working with these kids.”
All the student council members agreed that they all got elected to be leaders for the school, to help others and make it a better school.
Another great day of learning and fun at Stafford Elementary.
