Local Dome Homes Open for Tours 10am-4pm on October 19th

ITALY, Texas — Monolithic Dome homes all across the United States, including the dome complex off of Kinfolk Road in Italy, Texas, will be open for tours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 19th. Admission is free.

David B. South, president of Monolithic Constructors who is sponsoring the tour, said the home show will showcase all kinds of domes, from luxury houses to small homes, “We will have dome homes open for tours from Idaho all the way to Italy, Texas. I can’t think of a better way to inform the public about how versatile these homes can be.”

Monolithic Domes are steel-reinforced concrete structures known for energy efficiency, durability and strength. The tour is designed to raise awareness about these green buildings. Visit www.monolithic.com for the list of dome homes open and details about construction.

One of the major advantages of Monolithic Domes is their energy efficiency. They can cost as much as 50% less to heat and cool than a traditional structure of the same size. They also have the ability to withstand hurricanes and tornadoes since they meet the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s standards for near absolute protection.

The Monolithic office and open homes are located at 177 Dome Park Place off of Kinfolk Road in Italy. Everyone is invited for refreshments and “kicking the tires.”
