Italy High School National Honor Society students are now offering peer tutoring in the library before school on Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m. and after school Mondays through Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The library is a great place for students who need a quiet homework place or for those who need help in their coursework.

“We are excited about students helping students,” said Cassie Joffre, IHS librarian. “We look forward to more student participation throughout the year.”

Students are available to assist with homework or answer questions as they come up. NHS students are giving back to the school by earning part of their service hours through helping other students. Peer tutoring gives them an outlet to do that.

“The NHS members earn hours by helping other students who may struggle in some of their classes. This would also reinforce learning for the NHS students,” Joffre said
