Stafford PTO had their annual Christmas Store fundraiser last week. It was a wonderful way to raise money for the students and teach them about giving at the same time. Christmas time is all about giving and Stafford Elementary is all about teaching their students about giving.

The Christmas Store had lots of wonderful gifts for the students to choose from at low prices so that they could afford them. There were lots of coffee cups, candles, emory boards, books, spinning tops and lots more to choose from. There was nothing over $10.00 in the store. The store was open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM during school hours so students had a chance to shop.

The students had such a good time walking around and looking at everything. They had lots of fun selecting just the right gifts for their family members and friends. It was fun to see some of the students trying so hard to choose just the right gift for their mom or dad. The kids just had a lot of fun.

Tessa South (PTO president) said, "Every year it is a success because the kids have so much fun. We sold $2300.00 worth of merchandize and the PTO gets to keep twenty percent which is about $250.00 this year. These funds go right back into the school for little things the students need such as snacks during testing times and hot cocoa for their ‘Polar Express Day’. Little things like that. "

Once again the Stafford PTO helped Stafford students bring Christmas to their family members while learning at the same time how good it feels to give.

Another great day of fun and learning at Stafford Elementary!
