Mid year exam schedule for Italy High School

During the week of January 13th, students at Italy Junior High School and Italy High School will take final exams for their classes. The schedule is as follows:

Students in grades 9-12 may be exempt from finals in classes that are not an End-of-Course testing subject. Junior high students must take all of the scheduled finals.

Courses that are STAAR tested or EOC tested will have final exams that mirror the state testing requirements. Courses that are not tested by the state will have a traditional final exam provided by the classroom teacher. We have modified our schedule to ensure we can test in every area as needed.

The finals schedule is as follows:

Monday, January 13th
Seniors — Late Arrival 11:30am – sign in at front and go to the cafeteria

  • 7:50am
    • US History EOC, English II Writing EOC, English I Writing EOC, 8th Grade STAAR Reading, 7th Grade STAAR Writing Day 1
  • Afternoon Schedule
    • Periods 1-4
      • Finals review for courses not tested in STAAR/EOC
      • All students must attend regardless of exemptions

Tuesday, January 14th
Seniors & Juniors — Late Arrival 11:30am – Sign in at front and go to the cafeteria

  • 7:50am
    • English II Reading EOC, English I Reading EOC, 8th Grade STAAR Math, 7th Grade STAAR Writing Day 2
  • Afternoon Schedule
    • Periods 5-8
      • Finals review for courses not tested in STAAR/EOC
      • All students must attend regardless of exemptions

Wednesday, January 15th
Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores & Freshmen who are NOT in Algebra I — Late Arrival 11:30am – Sign in at front and go to the cafeteria

  • 7:50am
    • Algebra I EOC, 8th Grade STAAR Science, 7th Grade STAAR Reading
  • Afternoon Schedule
    • Periods 1-4
      • Finals for courses not tested in STAAR/EOC
      • Students with finals exemptions will go to the Old Gym

Thursday, January 16th
Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores — Late Arrival 11:30am – sign in at front and go to the cafeteria

  • 7:50am
    • Biology EOC, 8th Grade STAAR Social Studies, 7th Grade STAAR Math
  • Afternoon Schedule
    • Periods 5-8
      • Finals for courses not tested in STAAR/EOC
      • Students with finals exemptions will go to Old Gym

Friday, January 17th
Regular School Schedule — Some finals may be given at teacher discretion
