Michael Dean Entertainment will be performing Karaoke at the Rockett Ranch Café and Music Hall in Milford starting January 24th and continuing every Friday night thereafter.

Karaoke will start after the restaurant closes at around 8:45 pm and continue until midnight. If you are not interested in singing, there will also be dancing room for the boot scooters and line dancers.

Michael Dean Slay has been involved with music as a hobby most of his life and served as a firefighter from the early 70’s until he retired as a Waxahachie Fireman in 2001.

Michael Dean Entertainment started slow after his retirement with just 475 songs and has grown into one of the most successful Karaoke companies in the DFW Metroplex with thousands of songs in his database including a lot of the most current songs.

He became part of the Karaoke world and achieved award status at Karaoke banquets.

During Slay’s hobby years he started a five member band called the “Silver River Band” out of Maypearl in the 80’s. A couple of the group members were well known, Jerry Petty and Lee Crow, the father of Bart Crow, a famous Texas Country singer today. In the 90’s Slay was part of a two man group called “Two of a Kind” with a fellow fire fighter. They both played guitar and sang.

Slay started the Ellis County Opry back in the day, and was a regular at the Mesquite Opry with Leann Rimes when she was 14 years old.

He has worked as a KJ at most of the venues in Ellis County such as Rockett Ranch in Rockett, Boxcar in Glenn Heights, Twisted Frog in Waxahachie, Bonnie and Clyde’s in Waxahachie, Fat Daddy’s in Waxahachie, 342 club in Red Oak, not to mention others in Arlington and Dallas.

He is currently performing Karaoke at Bobby Sox in DeSoto but will be leaving to come to our neck of the woods to bring us a place to go and sing our hearts out and have some fun.

So please come by and sing a song or two, dance your feet off or just listen and watch.
