Great Texas Warrant Roundup begins March 1st

Representatives of Law Enforcement Agencies and Courts from more than 300 jurisdictions across Texas, including the Italy Police Department, announced today combined efforts to host the 2014 Great Texas Warrant Roundup beginning Saturday, March 1st.

The roundup is designed to target thousands of defenders with traffic, parking, city ordinance, penal code and higher charge warrants from participating jurisdictions. It is believed to be the largest joint operation of its kind with arrests expected to continue for several days. Numerous counties, justice of the peace, constables and municipalities of all sizes will participate in the roundup. Italy Police Officers may come to your home or work to serve the warrants.

If you think you have a warrant…now is the time to act before the warrant roundup begins. If you have an outstanding Italy warrant and would like to take care of it, contact the Italy Municipal Courts in person at 101 W. Main St., Italy, Tx, or by calling (972) 483-7329 ext. 106, Monday through Friday from 8:00am till 5:00pm. Municipal Courts will be closed for lunch between 12:00pm and 1:00pm each day.
