Dear students and parents:

It seems only yesterday that I walked into a brightly colored school to encounter a building filled with the smiling faces; we have all come such a long way together this year, and you are now standing at the brink of testing and beginning to think about next year, ready to take on new adventures and make your way in the world! It seems unreal.

I would like to start by congratulating you all – you have all worked hard, and watching you develop and grow into successful students has been an extremely rewarding experience for me. Your willingness to learn and your abilities and talents made you all a joy to lead, and I hope that you continue to be as successful in all your future endeavors.

When I think of our time together, one incident springs to mind faster than all others – the day that I spent in the dunk tank at field day and the squeals of laughter that came each time I went under. Along with your academic achievements, I am proud to have led such a loving group of individuals with a passion for learning. I hope that you continue to be contributing members of society as you grow up and inspire wherever you go as you have inspired me this year.

I will not be returning to Stafford Elementary as Principal next year. The Italy ISD has begun to take steps to acquire a new Principal. To help make way for this process, my last day on campus at Stafford will be Friday, February 21, 2014.

While you won’t be seeing me in the hallways or in your classrooms anymore, I will be praying for you and you will be in my thoughts each day – I will look forward to hearing about the paths you all choose to take from here.

All the Best,
Jonathan Nash
Principal
