A theme at Italy High School this year has been “Attend school and strive for the Honor Roll.”

As an incentive to be in class and earn good grades Mr. Joffre, the high school principal, gave away a donated iPad. In order to qualify the students had to have 2 or less absences during the second semester. Students who had fewer absences and earned As and Bs increased their chances of winning.

The iPad was one of many incentives that helped Italy High School obtain a 97.37% Attendance Rate, the highest at Italy High School in at last 12 years. Also, the high school currently has 98% of the students passing all of their classes.

The winner of the iPad is Brooke Deborde. Brooke only had 1 absence and she earned 12 As and 4 Bs during the 4th and 5th six week grading periods.

Congratulations Brooke! Job well done!
