Amber Adamson, a 2000 Italy High School alumna and professor of journalism at Baylor University, will be signing copies of her new book “The Last Alarm: First Responders Stories of the West Explosion” at 9 a.m., Friday, June 27, at the Italy pavilion. The book tells the first-hand accounts of approximately 50 emergency personnel who responded to the explosion in West on April 17, 2013. Included in the book are Italy Volunteer Fire Department members, as well as many others from Ellis County.

Books cost $27.05 including tax and will be available Friday morning or can be ordered on Amazon.
