Coach Bobby Campbell inducted into McMurry University Athletic Hall of Honor

Congratulations to Italy ISD’s assistant football coach and head track coach, Bobby Campbell, who was recently inducted into the McMurry University Athletic Hall of Fame on May 3, 2014.

Campbell will now have three sons that will have followed in his footsteps with all three playing college football at McMurry. Campbell’s youngest son, TaMarcus Sheppard graduated Italy High School back in June and will be joining the War Hawks for the fall season.

Campbell already has one son, Ashton Campbell, who is currently attending McMurry as a sophomore and who is also playing football for the War Hawks. Campbell’s eldest son, Markell Rice, was a former War Hawk player before graduating from McMurry back in December.

Campbell, himself, left quite a mark in McMurry’s stat books before graduating from the university in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Speech Communication. Below is a summary of Campbell’s accomplishments while a high school athlete and a War Hawk at McMurry:
