True Crime Drama on Shelley Nance to air on A&E Channel October 30th
A true crime re-creation of the murder of Shelley Nance will air this Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 9 pm on the cable Channel A&E. Shelley was a 2007 graduate of Italy High School who was attending the Art Institute of Dallas up until 2009.
This is a new program called “Dead Again” in which detectives review controversial murder cases to determine if the correct person is in jail for the crime. They review the crime beginning with the crime scene, interviewing individuals involved and coming to a conclusion from the evidence. They are unaware as to the true identity of the victim or individuals involved until the very end of the program when they meet with the district attorney who will then determine if they come to the same conclusion as the court.
This is the third program based on the murder of Shelley Nance that will air. The first program was on the ID channel “On the Case with Paula Zahn” which aired Feb 2012 and “Fatal Encounters” which aired Dec 2012.
Shelley was killed Sept 10, 2009 and the person convicted of the crime is serving 30 years to life in prison.
The family created a scholarship for Italy High School as a result of her death. They have been awarding $1,000 per year for the past 4 years to a graduating senior.
If interested in contributing to her scholarship fund, “The Shelley Nance Memorial Art Scholarship Fund,” donations can be made at any Citizen’s National Bank branch.
