San Antonio –The calf scramble was held February 22, 2015 at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

4-H and FFA youth competed for $800 certificates to purchase breeding animals to exhibit in the 2016 San Antonio Junior Livestock Show. Twelve certificates were awarded that evening to those who caught a calf.

Paige Little was fortunate enough to catch a calf and receive a certificate. She is a member of the Italy FFA. Little said she is following in the footsteps of her mom and uncle by participating in this event and that she plans to scramble at other shows to help fund her heifer to show here next year.

Little also said she enjoys everything at SALE, especially the rodeo, and the most rewarding part about the calf scramble competition was getting the halter on her calf.
