Faith Family, a charter school in Waxahachie forfeited their game to the Italy Lady Gladiators last night. It had been the second time the team had forfeited a district match to the Italy team. The Ladies are now 20 wins against only 4 losses for the year.

The ladies are led by senior Jaclynn Lewis. Lewis is batting a blistering .592, with 7 home runs. She is also the ace of the staff with 14 wins. Joining her on the maxprep team leaders are Madison Washington (.508), April Lusk (.500 and 24 stolen bases), Brycelen Richards (.477), Bailey Eubank (.463), Kelsey Nelson (.459), and Hannah Washington (.408).

Friday the Italy team will host the Fighting Owls from Covington on senior night. It will be the last home game of the year and the last time our seniors will play on their field in a district contest. Festivities to begin at 5 oclock with game time at 5:30. Immediatley following the game Itasca and Frost will also play at Italy due to a conflict in scheduling.

On Monday the girls will travel to Cayuga to play the number 4 ranked team in the state in a playoff tune up game. Game time in Cayuga is scheduled at 5 PM.
