Students enjoying a break from class

Italy 9th through 12th graders who are participating in next year’s spring break trip to Uruguay should plan on traveling March 10-17, 2016.

The total cost of the trip is $2,000. This includes the flight, airport transfer, 20 hours of Spanish class plus additional cultural activities, and home stay with half board (breakfast and dinner). Lunch each day will be the responsibility of the students. Since the main meal is dinner, lunch can be light and students can plan on spending under $10 a day.

Parents who would be interested in attending may inquire about cost with Mr. Guidry([email protected]). Cost for parents will vary depending on amenities required by parents who wish to accompany the group.

A $150 deposit is required to be paid by the last day of class this year—May 29, 2015. Total cost must be paid by January 8, 2016. Once the deposit is made, parents may make payments of $232 a month through January 2016.

Two payment options are available for parents to use. First, parents may make payments to the school monthly—checks can be made out to Italy ISD (memo line should say student’s name and Uruguay); second, parents may choose to use Paypal credit. This option allows users to have the full program paid to the school upfront and parents will make payments to Paypal interest free for up to six months. The next information meeting for the Uruguay trip will be on Monday, May 11, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the high school library. Please enter through the door by the band room.
