This past week, Italy High School’s FFA had 12 students participate at the Ellis County Youth Expo. These students spend a great deal of time and money taking care of and getting their animals ready for competition. Their hard work paid off. The following placings were earned:

• Tanner Chambers 3rd
• Ryan Dabney 4th
• Cassidy Childers 5th and 8th
• Britney Chambers 5th and 10th
• Jill Varner 8th

Rebekah Corley was the only IHS student showing a goat; she received 10th place.

Swine placings

• Alex Jones won Grand Champion over all swine
• Aaron Pittmon 4th
• Ty Windham 9th
• Austin Pittmon 10th
• Hannah Washington 12th

Heifer exhibitors were Thomas Crowell and Ty Windham; both students received Breed Championship in their prospective categories.

Steer exhibitors included Braydon Schramm recieving 6th in class and 3rd in County Bred Class and Clay Riddle receiving 5th in class and over all Grand Champion in county bred.
